Procedure

  1. 01

    Plug in

    Connect the board over USB‑C.

  2. 02

    Pick a firmware

    Click Flash below, then choose the port in the browser prompt.

  3. 03

    Wait

    It reboots into the new firmware on its own. No buttons needed.

If no port appears, or it will not connect

Hold B → tap R → release B, then try again.

Normally the flasher resets the chip into download mode itself, over the C3 native USB. That only fails when the firmware already on the board has crashed, is watchdog‑looping, or is in deep sleep — nothing is left running to service USB.

Do the sequence before clicking Flash. Entering download mode re‑enumerates the chip as a different USB device, which would invalidate a port the browser had already opened.
